Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has declared today public holiday to enable people to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), or make fresh registration.

He gave the directive yesterday in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Olalekan Alli.

He said: “As the registration exercise enters its last day today, preparatory to the 2019 general election, the governor enjoins workers to take advantage of the work-free day to perform their civic responsibility.

“The governor has directed that it is mandatory for all public and civil servants in the state to ensure that they duly register and collect their PVC from the Independent National Electoral Commission exercise.”
