Ijeoma Igbaji: Satisfaction from Touching  Lives Priceless

Ijeoma Igbaji is the Founder and CEO of a dynamic gifts and surprises company, White Rabbit Favours, which creates and delivers unique gift packages and beautiful surprises for any celebration to wow the celebrant, make their day extra special and give them unforgettable memories. She tells Bennett Oghifo how it works and what nudged her in that direction

How did you get around to delivering gifts?

After graduation, I dreamed of the security of paid employment, but God had greater plans for me. Fresh out of National Youth Service with no dream job in sight, I chose to develop the skills I had to create the type of job I wanted. So, I delved into entrepreneurship and White Rabbit Concept was born. I ran a events management firm for a while, operated an upscale lounge in Abuja called Code Lounge, Published an Abuja lifestyle magazine called City Crawler Magazine. However, I shut all of them down to focus on White Rabbit Favours in 2013.

Tell Us about White Rabbit Favours and how the idea to surprise people came about?

White Rabbit Favours was launched in 2013 and since then we have carried out over 1,000 deliveries to Surprise and Delight our clients. I was running an event management company when I got the idea to start this business. My Sister who works in a bank always asked me to help her deliver cakes, or gifts to her husband or friends or colleagues on their birthdays or anniversary and I thought why not turn it into a service and charge for it. Little did I know that it would morph into something so fantastic. We package and deliver cakes, fresh flowers, balloons, chocolates, jewelry, wine, champagne, cars, Spa vouchers, shopping vouchers, gift certificates etc for every occasion and celebration. We also include the WR Saxophone or violin serenade for our classic birthday surprise. We recently added the talking drum to the classic surprise and it’s been so great. People call us the Joy Vendors; we are all about Joy and happiness.

A business of surprises, what has the response been like?

The response has been amazing. Since we started in 2013 we have carried out almost 1000 deliveries and surprises. The truth is every human being has a need for love, according to Maslow Hierarchy of Needs. When people call White Rabbit favours to surprise someone they are not only showing love, appreciating or celebrating the recipient, but they also get it back in return. The Pleasure goes to both the sender and receiver. The unexpected always feels good. It meets their desire for more, so instead of mediocre celebration they get the wow experience which is unforgettable. The novelty of it all leaves a memorable feeling and causes joy and happiness.

How did you get the background and skill to run this Business?

Beyond my University degree, which is Theatre Arts, I attended the Enterprise Development Center of Pan African University. And from childhood I have always been great at decorations and gift wrapping and I give the best gifts to friends and family. I have focused on business and self-development so I could innovate and always give my clients something new. I have clients who come to us every year, every birthday and anniversary and they get something new.

How many employees do you have?

I currently have a team of five. But some surprises require more people, for example flash mobs or orchestra or Christmas day secret Santa or Valentine’s day deliveries, so we have adhoc staff on standby, which could run up to about 35 people.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

We want to be where to go for Surprises in Nigeria. When anybody thinks of doing something special, they will think of us, both corporate and individual. We have launched our Boat Wow Experience, The Carriage Ride and The Hot Air Balloons. We have our roadmap for achieving this; however you know that business is about embracing adaptability and flexibility because it shifts radically every year.

What is your favourite part of running this business?

Meeting people; sharing in their joy, being a part of their love stories and their celebrations; watching people’s faces light up as they receive their gifts or surprises, and seeing the smiles. The impact is priceless. All our clients gain a high level of detailed service. Everything we deliver is personalised to fit the recipient and we work with beautiful and quality materials and the very best vendors for cakes and fresh flowers orders. All our surprises are beautiful and well packaged and the satisfaction that comes from touching and impacting lives is priceless.

Deeply Heart Broken " Mother Warns Others Not To Sleep With Their Babies, After She Woke She Find Her ' Beautiful Six Week_Old Son Lifeless Next To Her

Rowan Leach accidentally fell asleep while feeding Hadley (pictured), only to find he was unconscious when she woke up

A 'deeply heartbroken' mother has warned of the horrific consequences of co-sleeping with young babies after the death of her six-week-old son.

Rowan Leach accidentally fell asleep while feeding her 'beautiful baby boy' Hadley, only to find he was unconscious and face down beside her when she woke up.

Winchester Coroner's Court heard Hadley was not breathing when his mother woke at around 8am on September 10 last year.

Ms Leach, 20, immediately rang 999 and began performing CPR before paramedics arrived and rushed her six-week-old to hospital.

However, despite their best efforts Hadley could not be revived and was pronounced dead a short time after.

Ms Leach, who was raising Hadley with the help of her mother, had brought him into her bed from his cot at around 3am for a feed when she felt dizzy and fell asleep.

Hadley had been on his back on his mother's pillow when he was being fed, but was found lying on his front when she woke.

Senior coroner Grahame Short was unable to establish exactly how Hadley, of Southampton, Hants, had died but said he had no criticism of Ms Leach as a mother.

Detective Sergeant Matt Parker, who was tasked with investigating the death but found there were no suspicious circumstances.

And Pathologist Dr Sam Holden told the inquest she was unable to find a definitive cause of death.

Dr Holden added she was unable to say whether Hadley was on his back when he stopped breathing, or whether he had already rolled onto his front.

Ms Leach, who was raising Hadley with the help of her mother, had brought him into her bed from his cot at around 3am for a feed when she felt dizzy and fell asleep

Recording an open verdict, senior coroner Grahame Short said: 'I have considerable sympathy for a mother caring for a baby in these circumstances, particularly when they don't have a partner to help.'

Addressing Ms Leach, he added: 'I find there is no criticism of you as a mother.'

Following the inquest, grieving Ms Leach said: 'Although there was no conclusive evidence to suggest bed-sharing impacted on this tragic event, I am hoping more can be done in future to raise awareness of the risks of bed-sharing to prevent any more parents suffering as I have.

'The loss of my precious son Hadley has left me deeply heartbroken. I was hoping this inquest would provide me with some answers surrounding his tragic death.

'Unfortunately, no conclusion could be reached. However, we do know that it was not accidental and could not have been prevented.

'My baby boy's life was short but beautiful, all he ever knew was love. We miss and love him more than I can possibly explain.'

An average of 133 babies have died each year over the past five years in cases where co-sleeping is a factor, according to Department for Education data.

It revealed a total of 141 children died while co-sleeping in 2017.

Senior coroner Grahame Short was unable to establish exactly how Hadley (pictured: the youngster's funeral) had died but said he had no criticism of Ms Leach as a mother

Woman delivers baby weighing 6.3kgs, 2nd heaviest in Kenya's history

- The 35-year-old mother of six gave birth to the baby weighing 6.3kg through caesarean section

- Her fifth born was also born with an almost similar weight at 6kg

- The mother and newborn are reportedly in good condition and will be leaving the hospital soon

- Nurses however warned the mother might be suffering from diabetes thus the weight of the baby

Nurses and patients at Alupe hospital in Teso South Busia County were on Wednesday, August 22, left in shock after a 35-year-old woman gave birth to a baby boy weighing 6.3 kilogrammes.

The woman from Ong'ariama village and a mother of six children gave birth to the now second heaviest baby through cesarean section at the medical facility.

Everlyne Atieno Osinya publicly expressed her joy after giving birth and narrated she did not face any problem during the entire pregnancy period.

"This is my second child that I have given birth to through the CS section, with the fifth born who was delivered weighing 6Kgs is now two years old and doing well," she narrated.

Alupe hospital nursing officer in charge, Faith Atieno, revealed that the child was in good condition after they left the operation room.

"The mother and the new born baby are all in good condition and we are still monitoring them before allowing them to go home, this is the first heaviest child to be born in this health facility," she said.

However, Atieno stated for the child to be born with such weight, chances are that the mother might be suffering from diabetes.

She added that can as well affect the child and therefore, they are being given special preference.

Osinya's baby boy became the second heaviest baby in the country after Mervin Mango, also from Busia gave birth to the heaviest baby weighing 7kg in February 2014.

Named after the famous footballer Robin van Persie, his mother wished he grew to be as famous as his namesake who plays for Feyenoord after he left Manchester United football club in England.

An initial report by TUKO.co.ke indicated on Thursday, April 12, another middle-aged mother of three shocked hospital staff when she gave birth to a 6kg baby in Mt Elgon, Bungoma County.

Helen Chepkwemoi Kesis from Kaptama village gave birth to the beautiful baby girl she named Blessing Cherotich through caesarian section at Kapsokwony Sub county hospital.

Being Successful Is Easier Than You Think! By Erik Meza

My name is Erik Meza, I’m 28 years old and I live in Dakar. A week ago I bought a new Porsche Panamera, as it’s six months since I worked at the car wash and barely had enough to feed my family. Now I’m going to tell you how a casual meeting changed my life and gave me the chance to earn $2000 a day.

I’ll tell you a little about myself. Poverty – that’s how I would describe my whole life. My parents lived in poverty, I never went to university. After finishing school, I went to work at a car wash. When I was young, my salary was sufficient for me. But when I got married and my daughter was born, I started getting into serious financial problems and permanent debt. What to do – I had no idea; the debts were mounting but I couldn’t quit the job because it was my only source of income.

One afternoon a new Porsche Panamera drove into the car wash. A young man stepped out of the car, he looked to be around 23 to 25. I was always amazed how young people could earn so much money. I said to myself quietly: “What do you have to do to drive a car like that?” But he heard me and laughed. “Binary options,” – he said and went away.

Those two words changed my life forever. When I got home, I sat down at the computer and started looking for some mentions of binary options. And so, a month passed: during the day I would work at the car wash, and by night I would read dozens of forums to understand how to use binary options.

Binary options are a revolutionary way of earning in the financial markets, which is very straightforward, quick, and extremely lucrative. You probably know that financial markets are venues where currencies, such as the dollar, the euro, or the pound, are traded 24/7, i.e. with no breaks or days off whatsoever.

What you need to do is just open a free account on a binary options website (a broker website), then make a deposit, select an investment amount and predict where the price (for example, the US dollar exchange rate) will go in a few minutes or hours.

There are only two options available: High or Low. The trade may last for any time from 1 minute to 3 hours (the expiry time), and you may select any time frame in between. If your prediction is correct, your investment amount is nearly doubled; if it is wrong, well, you just lose your investment amount.

So, this will actually be your job if you follow my instructions. This is called 'trading', and a person who works in such a way is called a 'trader'. As a trader, you can work any time wherever you are, all you need is a computer with stable internet connection. As you see, it's pretty straghtforward, even a 10-year-old would understand how it works!

I found the Olymp Trade web page and registered on there for free. They let me open a demo account for $10,000 using virtual money, as well as providing free instructions. This helped me a lot in the beginning, when I still didn’t know how to work with binary options and I didn’t want to invest my own money.

On the Olymp Trade web page, all the calculations are done in US dollars I received the payments in US dollars as well.

After two or three weeks, there was $10,000 in my account. The only problem was that this was only some algorithms on the screen, I couldn’t actually withdraw any cash. That was when I decided to invest $100 in my account. I don’t trust some of the Internet web pages, so I didn’t want to risk too much.

That night I didn’t sleep much – I traded all night, then I went to work. And guess what? That night I earned $153! All day at work, all I could of was binary options. As soon as I got back home, I sat down at the computer, but tiredness got the better of me. That night I didn’t trade much – I earned just $33 and went to sleep. I remember those days well, the only thing that mattered to me was binary options – I would arrive home and start trading right away. After a week, my account had $1220 in it!!! I know, it’s not a huge amount, but this was only the beginning; I didn’t dare trade using large sums of money.

I thought I’d better checkout the web page, so I sent a transfer of all my money ($1220) to a card. An hour later, I received a telephone message saying that the money was in my card! I was happy. After that, I invested $500 in my account and started dealing more boldly. After two weeks I had earned $10,000, and within a month I had left work. After that, I paid of all my debts and for the first time in my life, I took a vacation with my family to rest.

This didn’t stop me trading though, because to earn money, all I needed was a laptop, or a mobile phone with Internet access. When we returned home, I bought myself Porsche Panamera and decided to write this blog just for you – workers like I was, who are fed up of working every day from morning until night, for a measly wage. Remember that life wasn’t given to us for that. Register now, and be sure to complete the instruction course in the demo account without risking losing real money. Nowadays, I don’t see any real way to earn money while sitting at the computer or telephone, except binary options. After buying the Porsche Panamera, there was still $27,183 left over in my account. My goal was to earn $300,000 by the summer and buy a house for my beloved family. Good luck everyone, and thank you for your attention.

“Let your daughter be happy, please” – Chrissy Teigen tells Meghan Markle’s Dad

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen has reacted to the recent comments made by Thomas Markle father to Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.

In an interview with The Mail On Sunday, Thomas had a lot to say about his daughter, disclosing that she has now cut him out of her life.

According to the Daily Mail the 74 year old said:

‘I’m really hurt that she’s cut me off completely. I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off.’

‘The men in my family rarely live over 80 so I’d be surprised if I had another ten years. I could die tomorrow.’

‘I refuse to stay quiet. What riles me is Meghan’s sense of superiority. She’d be nothing without me. I made her the Duchess she is today. Everything that Meghan is, I made her.

‘Teigen is however having none of that, the mom who is known for speaking her mind tweeted a side by side image of the article with the caption:

“This guy … This guy sucks,” she wrote. “What is wrong with him? Let your daughter be happy, please. This is embarrassing.”

Dino Melaye denies Planning Abduction to miss Court Appearance, narrates Experience

Senator Dino Melaye has denied making up the incident of his recent abduction in order to avoid his court appearance. He made this revelation in an interview with Premium Timeswhere he refuted the claims, describing them as “illogical”. He added that the claims should “ring false to the lucid mind” especially as he was in court the day before.

To begin with, the federal government and the police in particular have combined five cases against me in court. I have never declined to appear in court for trial in all the five separate cases.

Dino further revealed that the court case was quite symbolic as the prosecuting lawyer, Alex Izinyon had sought adjournment which made it unlikely for the case to hold on Thursday.

I have been attending all previous court hearings. I have been told that the prosecutor wanted an adjournment. I have been granted bail long ago which I continue to enjoy. So why would I not want to go to court that day? There is no sense in that claim. It is completely against logic,” Melaye said.

Melaye also gave details of his experience originally reported by Senator Ben Murray Bruce as “abduction”. He shared while admitting that some assailants ambushed his bullet proof on Gwagwalada road:

“I was going in a totally different vehicle, but I asked my brother to drive behind me in an SUV as a back-up,” he said. “But I was shocked to see the attackers run into the middle, creating wall between my brother and I before attacking me.”

Upon discovery that the car was bullet proof, they threatened to set him ablaze, the senator said.

Dino went on to reveal how the fear for his life made him run into a nearby bush and climb a tree to get away from his attackers. He also shared that he spent 11 hours on the tree to ensure he was no longer at risk.

On who he suspects might be behind the recent threat to his life, Melaye shared that his attackers were police elements, adding that he noticed some men trailing him after his court appearance on Wednesday in the same Toyota Hilux truck and a Toyota Sienna minivan used by his Thursday assailants.

Melaye aslo told The Cable about his experience. He said:

When I realised that they wanted to burn my vehicle, I quickly opened the car and ran into the bush. I had to run for my life. It was the grace of God that made me to escape. When I got into the bush, I climbed a tree and stayed there. While on the tree, I saw two of the policemen coming to look for me but they didn’t know I was on the tree. I was in the bush for 11 hours.

My brother that was in one of the vehicles didn’t know what happened. So, he had to raise an alarm that I was kidnapped. He went to the Gwagwalada police station and reported the matter. At first, they wanted to act, but when one of them made a call, they started tossing my brother up and down.

They then asked him to go and wait for them at the scene, that they would join him. But he waited for more than 45 minutes, they didn’t come. So, it’s not true for the police to say that none of my family members reported the matter.

If anything happens to me, the Nigerian police and (Kogi state) Yahaya Bello should be held responsible.

I went through four assassination attempts as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but the president remained silent. Definitely, I’m going to call the attention of the international community.

They withdrew my security since April 22, and I wrote the police to restore my security, but nothing was done. As a senator, I deserve security personnel around me. In fact, even as an ordinary citizen, I deserve security.

Another Nigerian killed in South Africa

The Nigerian community in South Africa has confirmed the killing of one Chibuzo Nwankwo, a 42-year-old man from Enugu State.

The Publicity Secretary of the Union, Habib Miller, said Nwankwo was shot in the early hours of Friday at a local bar in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, following a disagreement with an unknown person.

“The deceased, a patron of the bar, got drunk and started harassing a female worker. Information available to the union said that Nwankwo was chased out by security personnel, but he kept on coming back; became very aggressive and rude before the ugly incident occurred,’’ he said

Miller said that the South African police later intervened and arrested the murder suspect.

“A murder case has been opened and an investigation has started. We call on Nigerians to be calm and allow the law to take its course,” Miller said

This incident brings to 121 the number of Nigerians killed in South Africa since January 2016.

No semen found in woman who accused Charlamagne tha God of rape when she was a minor

A woman accused radio jock, Charlamagne tha God of getting her drunk and raping her when she was a minor. But it has now been revealed that she had no semen evidence in her body or on her clothing when a rape kit was tested.

In documents obtained by The Blast, there was no evidence of semen found in oral, vaginal or rectal swabs in Jessica Reid’s rape kit.

The lack of semen evidence doesn't exactly prove that Jessica wasn't raped. It probably means Charlamagne wore a condom when he had sex with the then 15-year-old victim.

The 40-year-old radio jock was arrested on July 2, 2001 and charged with “willfully, unlawfully, and feloniously engage in penile/vaginal intercourse with a fifteen-year-old female child.”

Jessica's mother, Joslyn, refused to allow the 15-year-old to cooperate with investigators and the case was closed after Charlamagne took a plea deal.

In podcasts and on the radio shows, Charlamagne, the "Breakfast Club" host, has repeatedly laughed and joked about drugging and having sex with incoherent women over the years.

3 Months Old Baby Dies In Hot Car After His Mother Forgot He Was There.

A three-month-old baby has died after being left in a hot car when his mother forgot to drop him off at nursery. Aiden Miller’s father Aaron revealed

A three-month-old baby has died after being left in a hot car when his mother forgot to drop him off at nursery.

Aiden Miller’s father Aaron revealed that the boy’s mother only realised something was amiss when she finished her shift and wanted to enter her car but could smell his body.

He told Wave TV: ‘She said she opened the car door and was like “what is that smell?” and she noticed Aiden was still in the back seat.’

Police said emergency personnel received a call seeking medical aid for an unresponsive infant outside a business. They are now investigating the death.

Aiden was pronounced dead at a hospital in the city just north of Louisville, Kentucky. Mr Turner said the child’s mother was supposed to drop their two children off at different daycare centres.

The mother dropped her daughter off, but Aiden remained in the car’s back seat in the car park outside her workplace.

He added: “I still don’t understand how that happened. Obviously it happens. It just happened in my family. It doesn’t get any closer to home than this.

“Keep in mind that that baby is the number one priority. It is inexcusable for any kid to have to go through and for parents to have to lose a child like this.”

A former Ukrainian soldier was filmed setting himself on fire in protest after he was sacked from the army.

Dramatic footage broadcast on Ukrainian television showed Serhii Ulianov dousing himself in petrol before setting his army uniform alight.

Flames covered him head to toe in seconds in the shocking protest outside the Ukrainian Defence Ministry headquarters in Kiev.

As witnesses were pulled away from desperately trying to jump in, another soldier managed to pull Ulianov to the ground to pat out the flames.

Firefighters and other militiary officials jumped in to cover the ex-soldier, spraying him with a fire extinguisher.

According to reports in the country, servicemen were made aware of Ulianov’s plans and had managed to restrain him from his attempted self-immolation.

But Ulianov managed to break free and ignite himself in seconds. One picture shows him hurling away a water bottle filled with clear liquid – believed to be the gasoline he used.
