New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern welcomes a baby girl, becomes the second world leader to do so while in office

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her partner Clarke Gayford have welcomed their first child, a baby girl in a hospital in Auckland - a city in New Zealand's North Island.

Becoming the second world leader to welcome a baby while in office. Ardern annouced on Instagram, saying: 
"Welcome to our village wee one. Feeling very lucky to have a healthy baby girl that arrived at 4.45pm weighing 3.31kg (7.3lb) Thank you so much for your best wishes and your kindness. We're all doing really well thanks to the wonderful team at Auckland City Hospital."
